Businesses affected by Russian shelling, including in the Kherson region, will be able to obtain low-interest loans to restore destroyed or damaged buildings and equipment. A new financing line is being launched as part of the state program “Affordable Loans 5-7-9%”.
This is stated on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
In the first two years the rate for such loans will be only 0.1% per annum. Afterwards it will depend on the size of the business — from 5% to 9%.
The maximum loan amount for restoration is up to 150 million UAH. These funds can be used specifically to return destroyed businesses to operation.
Businesses will also be able to take an affordable loan for solar generating installations if they install energy storage systems together with them. The capacity of such storage systems must be at least 2.5 kWh per 1 kW of installed capacity of the solar generating installation.
An exception will apply for businesses in the Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Odesa, Chernihiv, Poltava and Zaporizhzhia regions: entrepreneurs will be able to install solar generating installations without the mandatory requirement for storage systems, the Cabinet’s website says.
