On the administrative border between the occupied part of the Kherson region and Crimea, traffic in the Chonhar area is carried out via a pontoon crossing installed after the road bridge was damaged by strikes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Satellite images published by the outlet “Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty” show this.
The images show a column of trucks moving along the pontoon bridge toward the occupied part of Kherson region.
There is also a buildup of vehicles in front of the crossing. According to the publication, at least 17 trucks and several passenger cars were in front of the pontoon bridge, and about 15 more lorries were standing near the “Dzhankoy” checkpoint.
At the same time, the satellite image does not show any freight or passenger vehicles moving toward Crimea.
Recall that on the night of June 11 the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked a number of logistical facilities in the temporarily occupied territories of the Kherson region and on the administrative border with Crimea.
In particular, bridges across the North Crimean Canal in the areas of Preobrazhenka and Myrne, the road bridge on the Perekop — Armiansk route, as well as the bridge near the settlement of Stavky, were hit.
Earlier the Chonhar bridge was struck. According to Ukrainian military, the strike on it disrupted the supply of Russian troops through Crimea.
