In the Vysokopil community, financial violations totaling UAH 1.34 million were found during the construction of protective structures for educational institutions.
This was reported on the agency’s social media.
It is noted that the largest violations concern the overstatement of the cost of completed works. In particular, in the contractors’ documents the volumes of materials used and expenses were greater than the works actually performed. Because of this, inflated amounts ended up in the acceptance acts.
An overstatement of the cost of technical supervision services was also established — payments were calculated based on an artificially increased construction cost, rather than on the actual volumes of work.
Separately, violations were recorded during the procurement of equipment with funds from international partners. A heat pump manufactured in a country considered unacceptable was installed at the Vysokopil Lyceum, costing almost UAH 1 million.
As a result of the detected violations, most of the losses were compensated and the funds were returned to the budget.
Auditors have already forwarded the inspection materials to the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office. Since the actions of lyceum officials and the heads of private firms may contain signs of criminal offenses, law enforcement will provide a legal assessment of the signed work acceptance acts, the post says.
