Hollywood actress and public figure Angelina Jolie, who recently visited Kherson and Mykolaiv, commented on her visit.
She reported this on her Instagram.
“I visited Mykolaiv and Kherson this week to meet with families who live on the front line. The threat of drones is a constant, heavy presence. You can hear a low humming in the sky. They call it “human safari” because drones are used to track, pursue and terrorize people,” — Jolie wrote.
The actress said that during the trip there was a moment when she had to stop and wait while a drone flew overhead.
“I was in protective gear, and for me it lasted only a few days. But for the families who live here — it’s every day,” — she added.
Jolie noted that local residents are forced to move schools, kindergartens and medical facilities into reinforced basements, but despite the danger, they continue to live and raise children.
“It was painful, but at the same time inspiring to see their determination. People told me about the psychological burden of living under constant threat,” — the actress wrote.
Recall that Angelina Jolie visited Kherson on November 5. About her visit to Ukraine the actress did not notify.
