The Ternopil City District Court found former employee of the Henichesk District Court Halyna Tsyba guilty of collaborationism.
The verdict was published on the website of the Unified State Register of Court Decisions.
As the investigation established, before the full-scale invasion Tsyba worked as the senior secretary of the Henichesk District Court of Kherson Oblast. After the start of the occupation of the oblast, she remained working in the court captured by the Russians in a similar position.
In this position she ensured the organization of illegal court hearings, kept minutes, and recorded proceedings. She also directly participated in hearing cases on the selection of preventive measures for Ukrainians who were illegally tried in criminal proceedings under Russian law.
In March 2023, Halyna Tsyba was dismissed from the legitimate Henichesk District Court, but she continued to work in the occupiers’ court.
The court convicted her in absentia under part 7 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Halyna Tsyba was sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of all property belonging to her.
Recall that in September the former head of the Henichesk District Court Yuliya Berlimova, who also voluntarily began cooperating with the Russian Federation, received life imprisonment for collaborationist activity and state treason.
