The occupiers designated a representative from the occupied Kherson region to the Public Chamber of Russia of the ninth convocation. He was the former shoe merchant and former head of the region’s illegal Public Chamber, Ihor Kachur.
This was reported by occupation media citing the results of its meeting.
In connection with this, Kachur resigned as head of the regional occupation body but remained as deputy and acting head.
Before the full-scale invasion, Kachur sold shoes. With the start of the Russian occupation of Kherson, he assumed the post of deputy to the illegal head of the Public Council under the so-called VCA of the Kherson region.
Later he headed the illegal Public Chamber of the Kherson region.
In April 2023, Kachur became a member of the Union of Journalists of the Russian Federation, and in the autumn of 2023 he headed the public observation headquarters in the Kherson region during the conduct of the illegitimate Russian presidential elections.
Last year headed the illegal organization “Resorts of the Kherson region”.
