Students of the Kherson Regional Children and Youth Sports School took part in the Ukrainian Championship in freestyle wrestling among cadets and cadettes up to 15 years old.
The Kherson Regional Military Administration reported this.
In the weight category up to 44 kilograms Nazarii Chapurin won third place among 37 competitors.
In the category up to 68 kilograms Oleksandr Linkov competed. He finished eighth among 44 tournament participants.
The competitions were held in Kolomyia and more than 560 athletes took part.
It was previously reported that a student of Kherson Lyceum No. 6 Anna Marchenko won a bronze medal at the Ukrainian ITF Taekwondo Championship among children and youth sports schools and clubs.
