Russian security forces have accused a 37-year-old resident of Kherson region of “state treason” and “justifying terrorism”. The man is to be tried at the Southern District Military Court of the Russian Federation.
Kremlin-controlled media report this.
According to the Russian investigation, in 2024 the man allegedly transferred money to accounts of foreign banks that were used to finance the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian law enforcement also state that the man wrote a comment on a social network which they interpret as “justifying terrorist activity”.
The indictment in this case has already been sent to the Southern District Military Court of the Russian Federation.
Recall that last year, on the temporarily occupied part of Kherson region, 30-year-old Yuliya Stanik was illegally convicted for allegedly financing the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The woman received 12 years and 6 months in a penal colony.
