The Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv in absentia sentenced the director of the occupation television and radio company “Tavriya” Ismail Abdullayev and its chief editor Hanna Korobova to 11 years of imprisonment. They were found guilty of collaborationist activity, namely conducting information propaganda in favor of the aggressor state (Part 6 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
This is stated in the relevant court verdict.
Recall that in June 2022 the occupation head of Kherson Oblast Volodymyr Saldo created “state” enterprise «Kherson Regional Television and Radio Company “Tavriya”. Its base was the seized building and equipment of the Kherson branch of “Suspilne”.
The director of the institution became Ismail Abdullayev — a propagandist who previously helped launch pro-Russian media in the occupied Donetsk region. The position of chief editor was taken by local journalist Hanna Korobova, who before the full-scale invasion worked at TRK “VTV” and was dismissed from “Suspilne” due to trips to occupied Crimea.

Ismail Abdullayev was responsible for overall management, the material base, and repeatedly acted as an “expert” in propagandistic media, justifying the aggression of the Russian Federation.
Hanna Korobova directly selected personnel (camera operators, presenters), developed broadcasting concepts and coordinated information policy with representatives of the Russian Federation.

Together they aired and distributed on the internet over 1,200 video reports aimed at discrediting Ukraine and at the “legalization” of the occupation authorities.
Their former colleagues — Kherson journalists who recognized the accused — testified against the traitors. After the de-occupation of Kherson, law enforcement officers found evidence in the television center building — Hanna Korobova’s work notebook with broadcast schedules, a staffing chart signed by Abdullayev, and documents for salary payments in rubles.
In addition to 11 years of imprisonment, both convicts were given an additional punishment — a ban on holding positions in government bodies, local self-government and in the media sphere for 12 years.
The court also ordered Abdullayev to pay over 8.6 thousand UAH, and Korobova — 5.7 thousand UAH in court costs for expert examinations.
