A street in Rivne will be named in honor of Hero of Ukraine Maksym Kryvtsov, who fought in the Kherson region.
This was reported by Suspilne Rivne.
It is noted that at the city council session the deputies supported the decision unanimously.

It is known that Maksym Kryvtsov took part in the Revolution of Dignity, and in 2014 he volunteered for the 5th battalion of the “Right Sector”. Later he served as a senior machine gunner in the National Guard’s rapid response brigade. After demobilization he helped other veterans, and after the start of the full-scale invasion he again joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
He served as a machine gunner in the Special Operations Forces. A participant in the battles for Kyiv, Kharkiv, Kherson, Luhansk, and Donetsk regions
In 2023 his collection of war poems “Poems from the Trenches” was published, which was recognized as one of the best Ukrainian books of the year by the PEN organization.
Maksym Kryvtsov was killed on January 7, 2024, during an artillery attack in the Kharkiv region. He was mourned on January 11 in Kyiv and the following day in Rivne. The soldier was buried at the Alley of Heroes in the “Nove” cemetery.
In 2025 President Volodymyr Zelensky posthumously awarded him the title of Hero of Ukraine.
