In Kherson Oblast an online discussion was held on draft law No.14144 on introducing a daily nationwide minute of silence at 09:00.
This was reported on the page of the regional party organization “Servant of the People” on Facebook.
It is noted that the meeting was attended by representatives of military administrations, local self-government, communal institutions, public organizations, media, volunteers, military personnel and families of fallen soldiers.
Participants discussed how to inform residents about the start and end of the minute of silence, what role local media and digital displays can play, and how to implement this ritual in schools, cultural institutions and enterprises.
According to the post, based on the results of the discussion proposals from the region will be forwarded for further consideration.
Recall that on February 11 the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine officially established a nationwide minute of silence to honor the deceased.
Since then, state authorities and local self-government bodies must ensure that information about the start and end of the nationwide minute of silence is provided at enterprises, institutions and organizations under their jurisdiction, and must announce the nationwide minute of silence through the media regardless of ownership form, as well as through warning and information systems in the field of civil protection.
The ritual of the nationwide minute of silence was introduced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky by decree in March 2022.
