The regional center remains the key financial core of the Kherson region. The Kherson city community provided 1,265.7 million UAH in tax revenues, which constitutes 60% of the total volume of revenues of the entire region.
This is stated in MOST’s article “Budgets of survival. What were the finances of the Kherson region in 2025”.
Compared to the regional center’s figures, the capacities of other communities appear much more modest, the article says.
For example, the Velykooleksandrivska community received 108.6 million UAH during the same period, while Vysokopilska received 52.5 million UAH.
“In other words, the lion’s share of resources is concentrated in a single center. Smaller communities operate with a much more modest financial base, which affects their ability to maintain the administrative apparatus, schools, and communal services”, – the article notes.
