The Kherson City Court handed down a sentence to an employee of the occupation migration service in Kherson, Vita Bilous.
This is stated in the court verdict.
According to the investigation, she was appointed to the position of acting specialist in the passport and visa service department of the public safety directorate in the occupation’s Ministry of Internal Affairs.
In this position she organized and issued the so-called address certificates for obtaining an RF passport, translated passports of Ukrainian citizens and other Ukrainian-standard documents into Russian, and carried out identification procedures for persons who had lost documents in order to prepare address certificates.
Interviewed witnesses said that in the summer of 2022 Bilous urged local residents to take Russian passports, promising 10,000 rubles for this. She explained where to go and which documents to bring.
Also her former colleague said that they worked together in the occupation migration service. According to her, Bilous was initially a translator and then became “specialist”. She entered data into the database and issued passports. The witness even named salaries: translators received about 50,000 rubles, and specialists — 70,000.
Considering the evidence, the court in absentia found Vita Bilous guilty of collaborationist activity. She was sentenced to 5 years and 6 months of imprisonment without confiscation of property.
