In Kherson region, for the first time since the start of the full-scale invasion, a regional indoor athletics championship took place. More than 80 young athletes, coaches and representatives of the region’s communities took part in the competitions.
The Kherson Regional Military Administration (OVA) reported this.
The championship program included races over distances from 60 to 600 meters, standing long jump and running long jump, as well as strength events — pushing and throwing a medicine ball.
Winners and prize-winners received cups, medals, diplomas and gifts from the organizers.
After the end of the competitions, a reporting and election conference of the regional federation was held, during which they determined the priorities for the development of athletics in the region for the near future.
