In Russia, Leonid Kondratsky, the deputy of the volunteer coordination center of the Kherson region and an ATO participant, was illegally convicted. He was found guilty of “terrorist activity”.
This was reported by Russian media.
The occupiers accused the activist of undergoing training for terrorism and participating in a terrorist community. Official sources, the post says, are concealing the specific term of punishment.
After the start of the full-scale invasion, Leonid Kondratsky worked as a driver of an evacuation bus, transporting people from Beryslav district to Nova Kakhovka. The occupiers detained the man three times: in March and April 2022 he was held captive for short periods, and in October of the same year soldiers without identifying insignia abducted him from his own home after a search.
For a long time Leonid was held in incommunicado status (complete isolation, – MOST) in the Simferopol pre-trial detention center, and later transferred to a colony in the Volgograd region, where he continued to be kept in complete isolation.
It should be noted that Leonid Kondratsky joined the ranks of the ATO in 2014. After one and a half years he returned to civilian life – he worked as deputy head of the municipal guard of the city of Nova Kakhovka.
Recall that as of January 2026 1 441 civilian resident of the Kherson region was abducted by Russians or is considered missing, of whom 793 people have already been released, others are still in captivity.
