Ukraine, together with Interpol, has launched an international search for cultural valuables that Russian military forces took from museums during the occupation of Kherson.
This was reported on the website of the National Police of Ukraine.
It is noted that the Interpol General Secretariat allowed the Ukrainian bureau to independently enter information about stolen exhibits into the international database. As of mid-February 2026, hundreds of items have already been added there, a significant part of which — from the collections of the Kherson Regional Museum of Local Lore.
The international search already includes a painting by Ivan Shulha “Song of the Zaporozhians”, which was stolen from the museum in the period from October 20 to November 10, 2022. They are also searching for a canvas by Kyriak Kostandi “The Artist’s Homeland”, stolen at the same time.

You can check whether a particular work is in the database via the mobile app ID-Art.
