On the left bank of Kherson Oblast, units of the so-called Russian EMERCOM are not even half staffed.
This was reported by the head of the Russian EMERCOM, Alexander Kurenkov.
According to him, the shortage of rescuers and firefighters in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine is generally significantly higher than in Russia itself. Thus, the understaffing in the so-called “L/DPR” is 26%, and in the TOT of Zaporizhzhia Oblast – 20%.
The average level of understaffing of fire units in Russia itself is about 34.5%.
Due to the inability to attract the local population to cooperate or to transport a sufficient number of specialists from Russia, the Kremlin plans to use the resources of the Ministry of Defense.
Kurenkov said that each year up to 5,000 conscript servicemen are planned to be sent to the fire units of the occupying EMERCOM units.
Earlier the occupiers approved the so-called “personnel development program” for the left-bank Kherson region, planned until 2030. The greatest “personnel shortage” is observed in agriculture, construction, medicine and education.
