Law enforcement announced another suspicion against “DNR” militant Adil Osmanov for violation of the laws and customs of war. He is accused of torturing and robbing a civilian during the occupation of the Beryslav district.
This is stated on the website of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
According to the investigation, in May 2022 Osmanov, who served as a senior shooter in the 109th regiment of the “DNR”, together with an unidentified Russian serviceman, broke into the yard of a resident of the settlement Vysokopillia. The armed occupiers, threatening him with assault rifles, brought the man into the house, where they tied his hands with plastic cable ties.
The perpetrators demanded that the victim hand over money and gold items. When he refused, they took him outside and began to beat him brutally.
Unable to withstand the torture, the resident of Vysokopillia pointed to the hiding place of the valuables on his household plot. The occupiers dug up a glass jar containing money and gold.
The total amount of damages at prices at the time of the crime amounted to almost 342 thousand hryvnias.
Osmanov is suspected under Part 2 of Article 28, Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Earlier he was notified of suspicion of state treason and involvement in war crimes in the territory of Kherson Oblast.
