Occupiers want to replace the water supply network in Henichesk.
This was reported by pro-Russian Telegram channels.
The repairs will last up to two years – they will allegedly replace about 70 kilometers of the network.
The reports note that during the repairs there may be disruptions to water supply, reduced pressure, and deterioration of water quality.
Local residents are advised to stock up on drinking water in advance for the entire period of the work.
Recall that information about poor water quality in the temporarily occupied settlements on the left bank of Kherson region appears quite often. In particular, in Tavriisk the occupiers said that the water is unsuitable for consumption.
This was due to the fact that after the destruction of the Kakhovka HPP the water receded, and groundwater levels in wells fell.
Later, the occupation authorities of Kherson region stated that the water in Tavriisk’s water supply networks already meets sanitary standards.
However, in October 2024 to the Tavriisk hospital several people were admitted with poisoning by toxins, likely caused by drinking tap water.
