Regional scholarships have been appointed in Kherson region for leading athletes and coaches for 2026.
The order was signed by the acting head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Дмитро Бутрій.
Payments will be made throughout 2026 based on results at international and all-Ukrainian competitions.
According to the document, funding is provided for several categories of recipients. These include the elite, leading and promising groups.
The elite include participants of the XXXIII Olympic Games,, medalists of the World Games and World Championships, as well as representatives of Paralympic and Deaflympic sports.
As part of the leading group, scholarships will be received by over 30 masters of sport and medalists of the championships of Ukraine and Europe in rowing, shooting, freestyle wrestling, athletics and volleyball.
Scholarships are also provided for young athletes — representatives of karate, hockey and hand-to-hand combat.
In addition, payments will be made to coaches who ensured the preparation of the scholarship holders of the elite and Paralympic groups.
A separate item of the order approves one-time regional scholarships for the best athletes and their coaches for special achievements. Among them — Анастасія Павлова (archery), Олена Скворцова (rowing in «Dragon» boats) та Анастасія Дитяткова (swimming).
