A resident of Skadovsk and graduate of the Skadovsk Academic Lyceum, Serhiy Aleshchenko (call sign “Prapor”), was killed in the war.

In April 2014 Serhiy joined the Dnipro-1 battalion as a volunteer. During his service he was wounded and taken prisoner.
After the start of the full-scale invasion he took part in the defense of Bakhmut and in battles near Klishchiivka, Andriivka and Bohdanivka.
After the reformation of the Dnipro-1 regiment and its integration into the united assault brigade of the National Police “Liut”, Serhiy carried out combat missions in the directions of Chasiv Yar, Kleban-Bik, Pokrovsk and Toretsk.
Serhiy Aleshchenko is survived by his parents, his wife and children.
