People who currently live in Kherson are not evacuating the city, because there is almost always electricity here.
This was reported on the air by the Deputy Head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Tolokonnikov.
“People who have already stayed here — these are, first, people who definitely planned to spend the winter in Kherson and are waiting for spring. Secondly, there is heat — there is electricity, due to the fact that we do not have large consumption and do not exceed the limits. Therefore people see that in Kherson, in principle, everything is available, not like even in Kyiv, so people are not leaving”, – said the official.
As a reminder, as of the end of 2025, about 60,000 people lived in Kherson. In total on the right bank of the region – about 145,000.
Earlier it was reported that in early February Kherson sent emergency repair crews to Kyiv.
