Restoration of the cinema and concert hall “Yuvileynyi” in Kherson will cost at least UAH 90 million.
That is the amount indicated in the order to amend the program for the development of culture and spirituality in the region for 2025–2027, which was signed by the head of the Kherson Regional State Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.
According to the document, in 2026–2027 they plan to carry out repairs of the interior premises of the “Yuvileynyi”, update the main hall and the lobby, and also equip air conditioning, heating and ventilation systems.
Separately, in 2026 they plan to install solar panels and a battery station on the roof and in the building’s foyer. UAH 7.2 million from other sources was allocated for this.
The plans also include repairing the stage of the main hall, purchasing lighting and sound equipment, furniture for dressing rooms, the foyer and auditorium seats.
In addition, in 2026–2027 they plan to reconstruct the square in front of the “Yuvileynyi”. They want to install a musical fountain and a new lighting system there. The total cost of the works — UAH 27 million.
Obviously, the implementation of all these measures is possible only if hostilities on the territory of the Kherson region cease.
