Prosecutors of the General Inspection of the Office of the Prosecutor General have notified a former prosecutor of one of the district prosecutor’s offices in Kherson region of suspicion of committing state treason.
This was reported on the website of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
According to the investigation, in July 2022 the prosecutor voluntarily assumed the position of the so-called lead specialist of the Department of Legal, Personnel Affairs and Records in the illegal Department of Tourism of the occupation administration.
Later, in September 2022, the suspect took the position of the so-called head of the Department of Legal, Personnel Affairs and Records in the pseudo-ministry of tourism, and in November 2023 — the position of the so-called first deputy minister of resorts and tourism of Kherson region.
For this he is suspected under part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The man may face up to 15 years or life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
