The Novovorontsovka District Court of Kherson Oblast in absentia found the former head of the culture department of the occupation administration of Kakhovka, Oleksiy Vlasov, guilty of collaborationist activities and sentenced him to 10 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
This is stated in the court verdict.
The court also prohibited Vlasov from holding positions in government bodies, local self-government, and educational institutions for 15 years.
As the court found, after the start of the Russian Federation’s full-scale invasion, Vlasov voluntarily took the position of occupation head of the culture department in the so-called Kakhovka military-civil administration, and later — in the temporary administration of Kakhovka District created by the occupying authorities.
In that pseudo-position he carried out organizational and managerial as well as administrative and economic functions, represented the interests of the occupation administration, and participated in its activities.
The defendant’s guilt was confirmed by materials of the special pre-trial investigation and evidence examined by the court. In particular, this concerns video recordings of his public appearances on occupation information resources in which he glorified Russia, supported the armed aggression and the activities of the occupation authorities.
The court also examined publications from Telegram channels and websites of occupation structures, documents about the functioning of illegal «military-civil administrations», as well as materials about his participation in public events under the control of the Russian Federation.
Recall, the occupation head of the culture department of the illegal administration of the Kakhovka municipal district (administrative-territorial structure of the occupying authorities, – MOST) Oleksiy Vlasov died in May 2024.
A few weeks before his death the Security Service of Ukraine announced suspicion against Oleksiy Vlasov.
Among other things, during the occupation he organized Kakhovka Day, staffed cultural institutions, etc.
Before the full-scale invasion, Oleksiy Vlasov ran a sole proprietorship in Kakhovka producing metal doors and windows.
