The Pension Fund of Ukraine resumes payments to pensioners from temporarily occupied territories and to internally displaced persons, including those from Kherson Oblast.
This was reported on Facebook by People’s Deputy Serhii Kozyr.
Thus, pensions will be able to be received by citizens who have undergone in-person identification but did not have time to submit a declaration that they do not receive pensions from the Russian Federation.
Until April 1, pensioners will be able to submit the relevant application without the risk of suspension of Ukrainian pension payments. Persons who undergo in-person identification in February will receive payments for two months at once.
It is noted that the decision is intended to prevent interruptions of payments during the winter period. The need to revise identification approaches arose due to the difficult conditions for undergoing it, including power outages, queues, and overloaded services.
Recall that as of January 1, 2026, in Ukraine pension payments for 337,000 people have been suspended. This decision applies exclusively to those categories of citizens who did not meet the legal requirements for verification. In particular, it concerns pensioners who did not complete the mandatory in-person identification by the end of 2025 or did not notify the Pension Fund that they do not receive equivalent payments from the Russian Federation.
