The occupying administration of the Kherson region has acknowledged a critical situation in the education sector.
This was reported by the acting occupying regional minister of education, Oleksiy Hryhoriev.
According to him, the shortage of teachers is “acute”, and the workload on those who remained working is “extreme”.
At the same time, under the Russian federal program “Zemsky Teacher” last year only 2 teachers arrived in the temporarily occupied territory (TOT) of the Kherson region. This year the occupiers plan to recruit three more.
Recall, due to a shortage of staff in September 2025 the occupying authorities had to close 4 schools.
Meanwhile, children from the region’s temporarily occupied territories (TOT) continue to study in Ukrainian schools online.
