A meeting of the budget committee was held in the Kherson community, during which the deputies approved changes to the community’s budget for 2026, and overall allocated state subsidies totaling almost 40 million hryvnias.
This was reported by the head of the Kherson MVA, Yaroslav Shanko.
Over 37 million hryvnias were directed to additional payments for teaching staff of general secondary education institutions for work in unfavorable working conditions. The additional payments will be received by teachers of primary schools, gymnasiums, lyceums, special schools, and corresponding structural units.
Also, expenditures on veteran policy were increased by almost 3 million hryvnias from the state subsidy. The funds will be used to ensure the activities of specialists who provide support to war veterans and demobilized persons.
Note that in 2026 the Kherson Regional Military Administration allocated 270,832,942 hryvnias for financing the education sector. The funds will be directed to the Department of Education and Science of the Kherson Regional State Administration.
The volume of the regional budget of Kherson Oblast for 2026 is set at about 1.5 billion hryvnias. Revenues and expenditures are projected in equal amounts.
