In the Hola Prystan community on the TOT of Kherson region there is a critical humanitarian situation. The settlements of the community have been without electricity, communication, gas, heat and access to medical services for a long time.
This was told in an interview with Ukrinform by the head of the Hola Prystan MVA Svitlana Linnik.
According to her, the community is effectively blocked. In Hola Prystan and the Kardashyn villages there has been no electricity for more than 35 days. There has been no gas in the community since July last year. Because of this people have no way to heat their homes, and it is impossible to buy fuel supplies.
“Basic medical services cannot be obtained, you cannot call an ambulance because it still does not come. One pharmacy point operated, but now the medicines necessary for chronically ill patients are absent, they are not delivered. Sometimes medications are brought and sold from a car”, – the official said.
In addition, grocery stores are already being emptied, and bakeries have been closed for more than a month.
“If bread is delivered, it comes from nearby communities, or from Skadovsk – and even then in limited quantities, sold a couple of loaves per customer. The price for 1 loaf is from 80-100 rubles. And sometimes there is no bread delivery at all”, – Svitlana Linnik said.
She also noted that basic communal services are not provided in the community. Nobody repairs the power networks, and the occupying authorities have closed the operation of their local energy supply enterprise. Garbage is not collected, so spontaneous dumps have formed.
Note that, according to occupation sources, mobile communication and internet in Hola Prystan have been disconnected for an indefinite period. This reportedly happened due to “total destruction of infrastructure”.
