Over the past day, the Russians deliberately shelled the Kherson CHPP with artillery and drones.
This was reported on Facebook by the chairman of the board of NJSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine” Serhiy Koretskyi.
“Russian terrorists want to prevent the restoration of the equipment”, – he wrote.
According to him, to provide Kherson residents with alternative sources of heat already this week “Naftogaz” will deliver to the city another batch of aid – an additional 950 gas heaters along with cylinders.
Other measures are also being taken to ensure backup supply, as the heating situation in Kherson is one of the most critical, Koretskyi noted.
Recall, earlier to Kherson about 500 gas heaters together with cylinders of liquefied gas were delivered.
Prior to that, in early December 2025, as a result of systematic Russian shelling, the Kherson CHPP ceased operations. It is impossible to predict the timeframe for restoration due to the danger to repair crews.
