Kherson region will receive part of a new batch of energy assistance from the European Union. In total, 447 generators are being transferred to Ukraine, which will be distributed among frontline regions to ensure uninterrupted operation of critical infrastructure under constant shelling.
This was reported by the Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine – Minister for the Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, Oleksii Kuleba.
The shipment includes 445 small-capacity generators and 2 large units with a total value of €3.7 million. The aid was allocated from the rescEU reserves through the European Commission’s Emergency Response Coordination Centre. The equipment is expected to arrive in Ukraine within a week.
In addition to Kherson region, communities in eight other regions and the capital will receive the generators.
