A serviceman from the Sarny community in Rivne Oblast, Ivan Serhiychuk, who was killed in the Kherson region, was posthumously awarded the Order “For Courage” III degree.

Ivan Serhiychuk was born in the village of Strilsk in Rivne Oblast. In the autumn of 2022, he was mobilized into the military, where he served as part of the 38th Separate Marine Brigade.
For a year and a half Ivan was considered missing. On June 24, 2025, DNA test results confirmed that the serviceman was killed on January 23, 2024, during fighting in the Kherson region. He is survived by his wife and two daughters.
