Occupiers will try a resident of temporarily occupied Kakhovka, Iryna Hedzyk, for alleged spying in favor of Ukraine.
This is reported by pro-Russian media, citing the illegal regional prosecutor’s office.
According to the occupation’s investigation, from September 2023 to May 2024 the woman allegedly voluntarily collected data on the movements and deployment locations of Russian military equipment and Russian soldiers.

Recall that the abduction of Iryna Hedzyk by Russians became known in July 2024. The woman was abducted from her apartment, in which searches had been conducted shortly before, after which her laptop, phone and all documents went missing.
Prior to that, in April 2022, during a peaceful rally in Kakhovka Russian forces abducted Iryna’s husband, Yurii Hedzyk. After some time he was released.
