Residents of Kherson were notified of suspicion of collaborationist activity for working in the so-called Department of Social Policy of the city’s occupation administration.
This is stated in the notice of suspicion published on the website of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
According to the investigation, Kherson resident Yuliia Potyomkina during the temporary occupation of the city voluntarily took the position “head of the Department of Social Policy of the military-civilian administration of the Kherson city territorial community,” created by the occupation authorities of the Russian Federation.
The woman performed managerial duties and received a salary from the occupation administration for this, understanding that these structures were created illegally by Russian troops.
Her actions were qualified under Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — collaborationist activity. The sanction of the article provides for up to 10 years’ imprisonment.
Recall, the court found guilty a resident of the Kherson region of collaborationist activity for working in an illegal law enforcement body created by the Russian occupiers. He was sentenced to 14 years’ imprisonment with confiscation of property.
