In the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region, there is an acute shortage of pediatricians.
Russian-controlled media report this, citing the occupation commissioner for children’s rights in the Kherson region, Iryna Kravchenko.
According to her, despite the announced programs and measures, including the Russian program “Zemsky Doctor”, the region is experiencing a serious shortage of pediatricians and other children’s specialists.
Earlier, the occupation administration claimed that, to attract doctors to the temporarily occupied areas of the Kherson region, they would financially incentivize them and provide housing, but it is obvious that the situation with medical staff has not improved.
Also, according to occupation media, mobile teams of doctors from regions of the Russian Federation are being sent to the temporarily occupied territory, and in difficult cases children are sent for treatment outside the Kherson region.
Earlier it was reported that nearly 15,000 residents of the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region in 2025 were forced to seek treatment outside the region.
