Figure skater from Kherson Kyrylo Marsak finished eighth at the 2026 European Figure Skating Championships.

Marsak posted the best results of his career in both programs. In the short program he scored 76.92 points — 1.57 points higher than his previous personal best set at the Lombardia Trophy in September 2025.
His free skate also ended with a personal best. For his program the athlete received 152.33 points, surpassing the 150-point mark for the first time in his career. This result was sixth among all participants in the free skate.
In the final protocol Kyrylo Marsak finished ahead of three rivals — Latvian Deniss Vasiljevs and Italians Nikolaj Memola and Daniel Grassl. His total score was 229.25.
Marsak was a little more than one point away from making the top 6 at the European Championships.
Kyrylo Marsak was born in Kherson. He competes in men’s singles. He is a three-time Ukrainian champion (2023–2025), and a bronze medalist of the Ukrainian Championships (2021).
Kyrylo Marsak is also the Ukrainian junior champion (2021) and a competitor at the European Championships (2023) and the World Championships (2023, 2025).
He became the first Ukrainian to land a quadruple lutz (a jump in figure skating that has four revolutions in the air — the lutz) at an international competition in the 21st century.
