Kherson is currently facing an especially difficult situation with gas supply due to enemy shelling that has significantly damaged energy facilities.
This was reported by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko.
It is noted that NJSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine” provided local residents with 1,750 electric and gas heaters complete with gas cylinders and continues to supply additional equipment.
Special attention is also currently being paid to frontline regions — Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Sumy, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Kherson and Dnipropetrovsk.
“We discussed with Naftogaz head Serhii Koretskyi the situation with importing additional volumes of gas. Thanks to 8 billion UAH allocated from the state budget and the assistance of international partners, the Government together with Naftogaz ensured the import of 5.7 billion cubic meters in 2025 for the stable passage of the heating season,” — the Prime Minister said.
According to her, this allowed replacing volumes of domestic production lost as a result of massive missile strikes. Import parameters for the next period have also been set to ensure passage through an unprecedentedly difficult heating season this winter.
Recall that in Kherson the distribution of gas heaters began for residents whose homes were left without centralized heating as a result of constant strikes by Russian forces on energy infrastructure.
Earlier to Kherson about 500 gas heaters together with liquefied gas cylinders were delivered.
