Three more children from the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region were able to return to territory under Ukrainian control. They are two girls and one boy.
This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.
Among the rescued – sisters aged 11 and 13.
According to Prokudin, the girls constantly lived in fear because of searches that Russian servicemen conducted in their home. During one such incident at a checkpoint, an armed occupier placed a grenade in the family’s car trunk, demonstrating intimidation and contempt for local residents.
The children and their families are currently safe and receiving necessary assistance.
The return of the children was made possible as part of the President of Ukraine’s Bring Kids Back UA initiative, with the assistance of the charity Save Ukraine, the post says.
