The occupiers accuse former Ukrainian police officer Biblenko of organizing the explosion of the car of the illegal head of the regional Department of the Penitentiary Service, Yevhen Soboliev (likely Vasyl Biblenko, – MOST).
Pro-Russian media write this, citing the occupying region’s Investigative Committee.
“For this crime Biblenko received a sentence in absentia – life imprisonment in a maximum security colony. He is currently wanted. His accomplice was given a punishment in the form of 17 years imprisonment”, – the post reads.
Recall that in May 2025 it became known that the occupiers sentenced to 17 years a resident of the Kherson region, 42-year-old Andrii Seryozhenko, whom they accused of blowing up Soboliev’s car.
Yevhen Soboliev is the former head of Colony No. 90 in Kherson. He is under suspicion in absentia and has two convictions from Ukrainian law enforcement. In particular, Soboliev is accused of violating the laws and customs of war under one of the charges.
According to the investigation, no later than May 28, 2022, he ordered the deportation of prisoners from the colony in Tsentralne in Mykolaiv region to the colony in Stara Zbur’ivka in Kherson region.
Earlier the court sentenced Soboliev in absentia to 13 years in prison in one case and life imprisonment in another.
In total, the man was involved in the deportation of more than 1700 prisoners. Russian occupiers moved into the prisoners’ places in detention facilities.
Soboliev also forced other prisoners to repair their equipment, and the medical staff of one of the colonies to treat the Russians themselves.
