In the Kherson region, a technical supervision engineer has been notified of suspicion of official negligence that caused almost two million hryvnias in damage to the state.
This was reported by the Kherson Regional Police.
During the repair of a local road, the official failed to properly monitor the scope and quality of the work performed and unjustifiably approved the acceptance certificates.
The documents listed works and materials that were actually not fully completed or were carried out in violation of construction standards.
In particular, the thickness of the road surface did not correspond to the project, and some road signs and elements of traffic organization were not installed at all. According to expert conclusions, the cost of the work performed did not correspond to that stated in the acts, as a result of which the state suffered damages in the amount of UAH 1.9 million.
Under the procedural supervision of the regional prosecutor’s office, the engineer has been notified of suspicion under part 2 of Article 367 “Official negligence” of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
