The occupiers banned Epiphany bathing in Henichesk due to “the threat of shelling”.
The corresponding order was issued by the occupation administration of the so-called Henichesk district.
“In the current situation, we strongly urge exercising utmost caution, avoiding mass gatherings of people, and closely following official announcements”, – reads the statement of the illegal authorities.
Recall that the Russian Orthodox Church and the occupation authorities continue to celebrate Epiphany according to the Julian calendar — January 19.
At the same time, the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (ПЦУ) switched to the New Julian calendar, under which the feast of Theophany is officially celebrated on January 6.
Earlier we wrote that in the occupied part of the Kherson region any festive events in catering establishments were banned.
