The Security Service of Ukraine has notified Anastasiia Varnava, a resident of Chaplynka, of suspicion; she headed an illegally established veterinary institution in Kakhovka district.
This is stated in the text of the suspicion published on the Office of the Prosecutor General’s website.
According to law enforcement, in 2023 Anastasiia Varnava accepted an offer from representatives of the occupying authorities and took the position of the so‑called director of the Animal Disease Control Station of the Chaplynka municipal district.
This structure was created by the occupying authorities to implement the Russian Federation’s policy in the field of veterinary medicine and was subordinate to the illegal Veterinary Department of Kherson Oblast, which is based in occupied Skadovsk.
Varnava is suspected of collaborationist activities under Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
