Russian forces are trying to justify strikes on Kherson civilians, residential buildings and critical infrastructure by spreading fake statements in the media.
This was reported by the head of the Kherson OVA, Oleksandr Prokudin, on his Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
According to him, Russian propaganda is once again launching “tales detached from reality” about the alleged placement of ammunition depots in residential areas.
“Thus once again the Russians are trying to announce and justify strikes on Kherson civilians, residential buildings and critical infrastructure. Now they have resorted to clumsy, detached-from-reality tales about alleged ‘ammunition depots’ in residential areas”, — wrote Prokudin.
The head of the OVA stressed that a logical question then arises: what exactly was in the more than 40,000 houses, schools, hospitals and administrative buildings that have already been shelled in the Kherson region.
“In each one — an ‘ammunition depot’ or perhaps immediately a ‘NATO base’? The answer is obvious — it is a lie hastily cobbled together to ‘whitewash’ the constant strikes on civilians”, — he noted.
Oleksandr Prokudin also urged residents of the region to keep a cool head, not to fall for Russian disinformation, to trust only official sources and to be sure to respond to air raid alerts and enemy shelling.
