In the Borozenska rural territorial community, they have begun implementing a project to support veterans and their families. As part of the initiative, the community plans to create a veterans’ hub — a space for providing psychological, legal, and social assistance.
This was reported on the community’s page.
The project «Space of Equal Opportunities: Integration and Support of Veterans in the Community» is being implemented by the public organization «Center for Social Partnership “Perspective”». Over the coming months the veterans’ hub will operate as a safe and open space for veterans, women veterans, and members of their families.
On January 9, the public organization’s team made a working visit to the Borozenska community. Participating in it were a case manager, a psychologist, and a lawyer. They provided psychosocial support, informational and legal consultations, and also helped with orientation regarding social guarantees for veterans’ families. At this stage, the work was directed, in particular, at older school-age children and wives of servicemen.
The community notes that the project aims to facilitate veterans’ adaptation to civilian life and to support their families. Further meetings and events for veterans and their family members are planned.
