On January 2, while on daily duty in Kherson, a serviceman from Kryvyi Rih, Andriy Motornyi, was killed.

Andriy Motornnyi joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in January 2024. He served as an operator in a radio-electronic warfare unit countering unmanned aerial vehicles.
For about 30 years Andriy worked at the ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih mine administration. He served as an electromechanic in the section for repair of mining equipment.
«He was a dependable man, always ready to help. Andriy was energetic, proactive, resourceful and very reliable. He knew and could do a lot, and was respected and held authority not only in our section but also in other departments of the mine administration, as well as in the city. People loved him. He was an avid tourist, known not only in Kryvyi Rih. The news of his death was very bitter for all of us. We will always remember him», — said the head of the section for repair of mine equipment of the mine administration, Andriy Lashkul.
Recently it became known that, due to complications of an illness, a serviceman Mykola Kharitonov died in the hospital.
