Kherson State University has been included in the list of 45 higher education institutions in Ukraine that will participate in the state experimental project “Open Path to Higher Education”.
This was announced on social networks by the rector of KSU, Oleksandr Spivakovskyi.
According to him, KSU became the only university in the Kherson region to join this project, also known as “winter admission” or “zero course”.
As part of the project, from February a preparatory department for future applicants will begin operating at the university. Training will take place remotely — on the university’s digital platforms KSUonline and KSU24.
Over six months participants will be prepared for taking the national multi-subject test and for admission to KSU. The program provides preparation in four NMT subjects: mandatory — mathematics, Ukrainian language and history of Ukraine, as well as one subject of choice. Ninety classroom hours are planned for each subject.
According to the rector, one can join the preparation and admission to the university from anywhere in the world. The project also provides a number of benefits and compensations for participants.
Recall that in December last year the Cabinet of Ministers approved the policy “winter admission”. From now on universities will conduct several-month training to prepare for the national multi-subject test.
The state will pay for the training of certain categories of citizens, namely: residents of temporarily occupied territories, servicemen and veterans. For other categories, the training will be fee-based.
