On the territory of the Kherson community, as of November 2025, 7 children who returned from the Russian Federation and the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson region were living there.
This is stated in the order of the head of the Kherson Military-Civil Administration, which approved the program “Children of Kherson”.
Over the entire period, 17 children of this category have returned to the community.
Earlier we wrote that another 153 children from Kherson region who returned from the occupation, the Russian Federation and Belarus were granted a one-time assistance of 30,000 hryvnias.
Note that Russia deported at least 20,000 Ukrainian children, although the exact number is unknown due to the ongoing war and occupation; Ukrainian authorities have identified about 19,500 of them with approximate locations, and about 800 (or 1,880, according to other data) have been returned.
