The Kherson MVA approved the program “Children of Kherson” for 2026-2028.
The corresponding order was signed by the head of the Kherson MVA, Yaroslav Shanko.
The implementation of the three-year program requires almost UAH 22 million. UAH 6.7 million is required for 2026.
This amount includes, in particular, organizing activities for children eligible for benefits, health and recreation, transportation services, one-time financial assistance to children of certain categories, etc.
As a reminder, in Kherson, according to MVA estimates, there remain about 5 thousand children – this is approximately 12% of the city’s total population.
According to the Kherson MVA, for a city that is in an active combat zone, that is a lot.
