In 2026 the Kherson Regional Military Administration allocated 270 832 942 UAH to finance the education sector. The funds will be directed to the Department of Education and Science of the Kherson Regional State Administration.
This was announced in an order by the head of the Kherson OVA, Oleksandr Prokudin.
Financing of general secondary education by general secondary education institutions at the expense of local budget funds in 2026 will amount to 24,88 million UAH.
Another 24,08 million UAH is provided for the provision of general secondary education from the educational subvention of the state budget.
6,73 million UAH are planned to be directed to the education of children with special educational needs in special general secondary education institutions.
Funding of specialized general secondary education institutions from local budget funds will amount to 6,78 million UAH, and from the educational subvention — another 6,64 million UAH. In addition, 2,1 million UAH are allocated for the activities of educational-rehabilitation centers for persons with special educational needs.
Expenditures for extracurricular education and out-of-school activities with children in 2026 will amount to 22,17 million UAH.
A significant amount of funds is directed to personnel training. In particular, for institutions of vocational (vocational-technical) education from local budget funds 76,19 million UAH is provided, another 5,13 million UAH — from the educational subvention. Personnel training in institutions of professional pre-higher education will be financed in the amount of 43,76 million UAH from the local budget and 11,67 million UAH — from the educational subvention.
For advanced training and retraining of personnel in postgraduate education institutions in 2026, 25,73 million UAH are planned. Provision of the activities of other institutions in the field of education will be financed in the amount of 8,93 million UAH.
Another 803 thousand UAH is provided for the implementation of other programs and activities in the field of education.
Recall, the volume of the regional budget of Kherson region for 2026 is set at about 1.5 billion UAH. Revenues and expenditures are set at equal amounts.
