In the Kherson community, the Comprehensive Program “Health of Kherson Residents” was approved, which will take effect in 2026 and will run until the end of 2028.
The corresponding order was signed by the head of the Kherson MVA, Yaroslav Shanko.
In total, more than UAH 32.6 million from the local budget are planned to be allocated to the healthcare of community residents, in particular for services beyond the scope of state guarantees.
The largest portion of the funds, namely almost UAH 25 million, will be directed to reimbursing half the cost of prescription medicines for preferential categories of the population. This concerns medications that are not included in the state program “Affordable Medicines”.
In addition, the city will finance the Center for Mental Health and Integrated Services, which cares for the psychological condition of residents in wartime.
Besides medicines, funds will be directed to supporting the vision and hearing of veterans and elderly people. Funds will also be directed to combating infectious diseases and supporting children.
